Long before Juno became the Oscar winning rage, there was another little indie film about teenage pregnancy.
“Just Another Girl On The IRT” was the 1993 film written and directed by Leslie Harris. It was the story of Chantell Mitchell and her quest to escape the poverty that has plagued her family for generations. After being accepted to a high-profile high school, Mitchell’s dreams of med school are put in jeopardy when she discovers she’s pregnant.
