ONE EVENT/TWO DIFFERENT LOOKS
ROSARIO DAWSON was a true peach in her flesh-toned babydoll frock at Tuesday nights preem of her new film, Seven pounds. The asymmetrical neckline balances out the boxy shape and adds sophistication to the short hemline. The wavy bob (which is actually just her shoulder-length hair pinned up) and light make-up complete the look and says “A-List.” Rosario is SIMPLY FLY!
VANESSA WILLIAMS however is not. There is nothing right with this look. To begin with – this is a shirt – an iridescent, ill-fitting and tacky shirt. It’s a good thing Vanessa has great legs, because we’re seeing a lot of them. Too much actually. You’d think that this was taken outside Magic City and not Man’s Theater in Westwood. And the contrasting jacket continues to cheapen the look – with the longer hemline failing to balance it out. And Vanessa’s hair and make-up…You know what, let’s just get to it. NOT SO FLY!
Funny thing is – I much prefer Vanessa’s look over Rosarios. I think it’s Vanessa’s pose that tackifies it. But if they had caught her looking a little less chicken-headish in her stance – it would look different, IMHO.
Rosario is not working this look at all to me. The color is not complimentary to her skin tone AT ALL…the fit is not the hotness – and the shoes, eh.
