I GOT QUESTIONS: THRILLER COMES TO BROADWAY

Alright, here’s what we know – MICHAEL JACKSON’S game-changing hit Thriller is headed to a Broadway adaptation (sort of in the vein of Billy Joel’s Moving Out). And we know that the show, which is to be produced by Broadway titans The Nederlander Organization, will feature some of Jackson’s greatest hits (including ‘PYT’, ‘Billie Jean’, ‘Beat It’ and of course the title track) as well as hits from his brilliant Off The Wall

Though all of this has been speculation for month, especially following Mike’s financial troubles, but it was finally confirmed this morning by Jackson’s official rep, Dr. Tohme Tohme.

“I love the idea of making Thriller a musical. Girl meets boy, they fall in love, boy has big secret,” quipped producer James L. Nederlander, whose company runs nine Broadway theaters.

Of course, I’m going to go see it…

NOW, here’s what we’re wondering:

1. WHY THE HECK is Michael’s official spokesman a doctor?

2. Will there be some spot for Jermaine & Tito in the cast?

3. And will they cast an unsightly white woman to play Michael?

AND will it be anywhere NEAR as good as this?

  1. 1. WHY THE HECK is Michael’s official spokesman a doctor?
Because Emmanuel Lewis can’t see over the podium.

    2. Will there be some spot for Jermaine & Tito in the cast?
No, as the production calls for NO S-Curled Cocoa Melting Candles or Fat ‘Fro’d Family FAILURES.

    3. And will they cast an unsightly white woman to play Michael?
Save for a couple ribs sticking to and fro…Lara Flynn Boyle ain’t THAT unsightly…

AND will it be anywhere NEAR as good as this?
    HAIL.TO.THE.NEVER!

  2. if my simple behind has a job by then, i’m so there on opening night! that was probably the first album i memorized.

things i’m looking forward to from this production:
    1) a cameo from Blanket (int he show or in the audience)
    2) def want to see what they do for Michael (white man in black face or a black man with some obvious plastic surgery)
    3) the jacket making a return
    4) LeToya showing up
    5) Janet hating cuz she will NEVER be as fabulous as Michael!
