The NAACP has named “Cadillac Records,” “The Secret Life of Bees,” “Miracle at St. Anna,” “Seven Pounds” and “Tyler Perry’s The Family That Preys” as best pic contenders for its 40th annual Image Awards.

ABC led all networks at the NAACP Image Awards with a total of 24 nominations.

“Tyler Perry’s House of Pain” scored six noms — the most of any show — including top comedy series. “Ugly Betty” nabbed a nod for best comedy series, as did America Ferrera for best actress. Other comedy series noms were “The Game,” “Everybody Hates Chris an” “30 Rock.”

Drama series nominations were “The Wire,” “The Unit,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “House” and “Lincoln Heights.”

CBS followed with 14 noms, while the CW and NBC scored 10 each.

In the music category, Columbia Records leads with eight noms, including five for BEYONCE.

Kudocast, hosted by HALLE BERRY and TYLER PERRY, will air on Fox Feb. 12 from the Shrine Auditorium.
