THE CLOSET: MEET THE 26 YEAR OLD BEHIND MICHELLE INAUGURAL GOWN…

Last night was magical for all of us. but perhaps maybe a little more so for 26 year old JASON WU.

The New York city designer got the thrill of his young career when he watched the First Lady Michelle Obama walk into ABC’s Neighborhood Ball last night wearing his white, one-shouldered creation.

During a chat with US Weekly, Wu explained that he was contacted in November and simply told that Michelle wanted something that sparkled.

Though he’s never met the first lady, Wu says ”She’s so statuesque. I knew white would look great on her. White is a powerful color. I wanted to show off her arms, but not too much.”

Per tradition, the dress is on it’s way to The Smithsonian and as for Wu?

“I am giving myself today to enjoy it. Then I have to get back to work. I have a fall collection to do in two weeks. I have to stay grounded.”

  1. I loved the dress. You can’t make people happy cause they’ll always find something to criticize. Michelle is a stunning first lady and her skin is flawless. Compared to all the other frowdy dowdy wives and cram to understand people’s issues…

Jason Wu is probably on cloud nine right about now.
