“Adapt and move on”
M. Willis III
A little more than 2 weeks ago, my laptoip stopped working – the motherboard went out. Now keep in mind this was exactly two weeks to the day after spilling lemondae on the keyboard and having it fixed. So needless to say I was more thna upset.
But I did what I always did, I immediately went to plan B – get another laptop to use while my was being fixed. But normally I’d be able to find someone to either loan me a laptop – or at the very least pick up a cheap used one that would bridge the two-week gap it would take to get mine fixed. But no matter what I did, I couldn’t find one to work. So then I began to think maybe this is a sign – maybe this time is an opportunity to re-assess what I’m doing.
During my two-week hiatus I was more than open to trying new things, exploring new paths and thought for a second “Hmmm, perhaps I might want to try something else with my life.” And then one night, New years day actually, when I would’ve been doing the Urban Newz Radio show, I became so sad. It was then that I realized how much I love what I’m doing and I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.
The point of all of this is, learn to take the lessons that life is giving you as what they are: challenges to make you stronger.
Today: Be open to what life gives you. Take it and run with it.
Have an adapting day.
I’m happy to be back!
MUAHHHHH!
