*UPDATE*
Though there is NO official word, several sources are reporting that CHRIS BROWN & RIHANNA were involved in a very serious domestic incident this morning. And neither will be appearing tonight at the Grammy’s (Rih is a nominee & Chris was scheduled to perform).
Apparently, after leaving Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy celebration, around 12:30 this morning (Pacific Time) police were called to a Hancock Park neighborhood where Brown an Rihanna were fighting in a vehicle. Rihanna had visable injuries – though it is unclear at this point if medical attention was sought.
LAPD released the following statement:
“Brown and his companion became involved in an argument. After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker.”
By the time police arrived, Brown had fled the scene.
Earlier this evening, as word of the police investigation spread, MTV falsely reported that both singers were involved in a car crash and neither would be appearing. However at the same time E! broke the story publicly that though no charges had been filed, Brown was being sought for felony aggravated assault.
According to TMZ, Chris Brown has turned himself to police…
Brown has been booked and charged with one count of Felony Criminal Threats. Bond has been set at $50,000. Brown posted his bail and was released.
