Essence magazine caught up with Tameka Foster’s best friend, Nyiesha Dewitt, of 20 years to discuss the messy marital discord that’s been the subject of gossips and hot debate over the last few weeks. Her temper is flaring at accusations of her BFF being a golddigger and she puts the rumor that the Usher and Tameka has been separated for over a year to rest. Nyiesha clearly asserts her hopes that, “Tameka and Usher can salvage things as a couple.” However, chances are looking more anorexic than supermodels considering Tameka didn’t even know she was being divorced until she read it somewhere.

She didn’t know that he was going to file. Of course, she knew that there were challenges in their relationship and had been some discord since March and was aware there were some things that needed to be worked through. But did she know that divorce was imminent? No. It was a total surprise.”

The scandal of it all increases with Usher not wanting to seal the legal divorce documents filed in Atlanta, Georgia, rumors of Tameka being a gold digger, and of course the rumors of her ex entering the scene…
