One dark chapter in BRANDY’S life is finally coming to a close. The singer/actress has reached a settlement in the 2006 car crash that left one woman dead.
Brandy (nee Brandy Norwood) was driving on LA’s 405 expressway when her vehicle rear-ended a car stopped in sudden traffic. Awatef Aboudiha, the driver of the other vehicle was killed. Norwood was cleared of any criminal charges but the victims husband and children filed a wrongful death civil suit against the Human singer.
Representatives for both sides have reportedly reached an agreement that includes Norwood paying $600,000 ($300,000 a piece) to Aboudiha’s children who were in the car at the time of the accident. The only remaining component is with the victims husband, Marouane Hdidou who is said to be close to accepting a new offer. He rejected the previous offer of $1.2 million in February.
