It was almost a year ago that we first met VA native TREY SONGZ. Since then FSL has experienced tremendous growth and the young cat known simply as Songz, has seemingly dipped of somewhere and returned – a grown ass man.
It turned out to be a ‘Day of Trey’ or Trey Day’s as they’re called, as the singer hit Chicago with a whirlwind. The first stop was a anti-violence rally at Dunbar High School (which I hosted), then onto a few promo stops (shouts to WGCI and Jet mag) and then the day ended with a packed house at the Bronzeville spot, Blu 47.
It was my first time really seeing Trey (nee Tremaine Neverson) in concert and i must say, I was impressed. With a set of nearly a dozen songs, Trey managed to moisten the ladies (no really, them chicks were sweating bullets) and still keep the fellas entertained. There were no dancers, no elaborate lighting or big production and the sound system sucked…But somehow it didn’t matter. Trey did his thing.
Perhaps he is Ready.

Yeah, it did seem like Trey dipped off somewhere and came back with this mean grown man swag. Until recently I never gave that man the time of day…..but now….he can have me WHOLE day LOL!!!!
