I smell a gimmick…TYRA BANKS has vowed that she’ll ditch her pricey lace-fronts and any other added hair accessory for the season opener of her talk show.

A few day ago the former model-turned-mogul took to NYC’s Union Square to celebrate ‘weave-freedom’ surrounded by a group of half-dressed women for a photo shoot promoting the airing.

While it’s unclear what the actual episode will be about, one thing is for sure, we’ve seen Tyra without weave before. But hey, if it draws in the viewers to the gab-fest (which begins its new run on the CW), then we’re happy for her.
