Some 70 days after his sudden death, MICHAEL JACKSON has finally been laid to rest.
With a private service held last night at Glendale’s Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Michael’s closest family and friends – in total less then 200 – gathered to quietly say their goodbyes.
Joe and Kathrine sat together as their remaining sons once gain escorted their brother into his final resting place. The tasteful service was attended by some of Mike’s longtime high-profile friends like ELIZABETH TAYLOR, QUINCY JONES, CHRIS TUCKER, REV. AL SHARPTON, MACCAULY CULKIN, COREY FELDMAN, BARRY GORDY, SUZANNE DE PASSE, ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley, Gladys Knight and even Barry Bonds.
Michael’s three children also attended the hour-long service.
“The Jackson Family wishes to once again thank all of Michael’s fans around the world for their generous outpouring of support during this terribly difficult time,” read a statement released tonight by the family’s rep, Ken Sunshine. “Their expressions of love for Michael and his music have sustained the Jackson Family.”
