All you fans of the original Stomp The Yard will be happy to know that shooting for the sequel begins in just a few weeks. COLUMBUS SHORT is set to reprise his role as DJ – the street-savvy dancer who learns the value of tradition – only this time around Short finds himself in the mentoring position. Stomp The Yard 2: Homecoming will be helmed by it’s original director Rob Hardy and casting is currently under way.

STY2H is expect in theaters by next summer.

And it looks like SNOOP is trying to get his acting chops wet…with blood.

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, the veteran rapper says he got his sights set on the HBO hit True Blood. “I love that show. I wish I could be on it. I’d be a hell of a vampire, don’t you think?” Snoop (nee Calvin Brodus) is so serious about this that he even reached out to the producers.
