50 CENT is so psyched about his new project that he brought along his new co-star VAL KILMER as his date to last nights AMA’s.

Action flick The Gun is the next thing Fiddy (nee Curtis Jackson) is sinking his altered teeth into as he transform himself into the uber-stretch of a role as a morally corrupt and violent person.

50 Cent will star alongside Kilmer as two friends who get caught up in the world of arms dealing. And get this, he wrote the script himself, which is kinda impressive actually.

And turns out Curtis – who’s credits include directing the new flick Before I Self Destruct – has a lot of respect for the writing process, “When you write a song, you need to say it in three minutes or it is overkill, but I like creating stories and going in depth with characters.”

Shooting begins next month and the film’s due to hit shelves, zshare and street corners next spring.
