This version is off of her upcoming The Element of Freedom which drop December 13th.
It’s impossible to compare this to the first version. At first I was against the idea of it. The original (which belongs to JAY-Z’s BP3) is such a perfect song. But if anything, if the original is and ode from a native, this one feels like it it embodies the New York transplant. It’s beautiful.
