MARY J BLIGE is in a very giving mood. The round the way girl lent a big helping hand to the Ward family on ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Mary joined forces with Ms. Clara Ward’s neighborhood to give back to the woman who gives so much to her community. Ms Ward suffers from a degenerative muscular disorder. During the episode Mary mentioned her three ‘E’s’ workshop–Empowerment, Education and Encouragement–for girls. It helps young women rebuild themselves and prepare for greatness despite difficult upbringings. MJB got really emotional when helping out because she could empathize with the lifestyle and hardship this community faced everyday. It’s a beautiful feeling to watch and know that there are people who understand the world is improved by a single good deed. Hats off. Yeah, maybe I cried. Don’t judge me.
